Modern Foreign Languages (MFL)

At Redlands Primary School, we believe that learning a new language broadens horizons and fosters curiosity about the world. We teach French as our Modern Foreign Language (MFL), providing pupils with the opportunity to develop essential language skills while deepening their understanding of different cultures.

Our French curriculum focuses on building pupils' confidence in listening, speaking, reading, and writing through engaging and interactive lessons. Pupils explore vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation through songs, stories, games, and conversations, making language learning enjoyable and accessible for all.

Beyond language acquisition, learning French helps pupils develop important communication and memory skills, as well as cultural awareness, encouraging respect and curiosity for global communities.
