Redlands Vision & Values

Our Vision

At Redlands Primary School, we believe every child deserves to feel valued, supported and inspired to achieve their very best. We are proud of our diverse community and celebrate the unique experiences, cultures and strengths that every child and family brings to our school.

We strive to create an environment where children feel safe, respected and challenged to become confident learners, kind individuals and active citizens who are well prepared for the future.

Our Foundations

Everything we do at Redlands is built upon three key foundations:

Diversity

We celebrate difference and ensure every child feels seen, valued and included. Our curriculum reflects the diverse world we live in and helps children develop understanding, empathy and respect for others.

Inclusivity

We believe every child can succeed. We remove barriers to learning, provide the support children need and create an environment where everyone belongs and can thrive.

Aspiration

We encourage children to believe in themselves, aim high and take pride in their achievements. Through high expectations, exciting opportunities and a rich curriculum, we help every child reach their full potential.

Living Our Foundations

Our foundations are not simply words on a page—they shape everyday life at Redlands.

Children learn what Diversity, Inclusivity and Aspiration look like through assemblies, classroom learning, our curriculum, enrichment opportunities and daily interactions. They are encouraged to reflect on how they demonstrate these values through their actions, relationships and attitudes towards learning.

Together, our foundations help create a school community where everyone feels welcome, respected and able to succeed.

British Values

At Redlands Primary School, British Values are woven throughout school life and are closely aligned with our own foundations.

Through our curriculum, assemblies, pupil leadership opportunities and wider experiences, children develop an understanding of:

  • Democracy
  • The Rule of Law
  • Individual Liberty
  • Mutual Respect
  • Tolerance of Different Faiths and Beliefs

We encourage children to think critically, respect different viewpoints and understand their responsibilities as members of both our school community and wider society. By celebrating diversity and promoting inclusion, we prepare our pupils to become thoughtful, respectful and responsible citizens.
