Redlands Vision & Values
Redlands Vision Statement
Celebrating Diversity, Inspiring Achievement
Redlands Values
Our values are in integral part of our school culture. In September 2023, the children embarked on a project to review and develop their school values. The whole school worked together to define the culture of Redland and how we would like all members of our community to feel when they are at Redlands.
Our agreed values are:
KINDNESS
RESPECT
DETERMINATION / SELF-BELIEF
RESPONSIBILITY
INTEGRITY
EQUALITY
Every term, we select a value and learn about what it means. We learn how we can demonstrate these values in all our interactions and why it is important to foster these values within our school.
Our approach at Redlands prompts each child to think deeply about their chosen school values and how they can embed this into their own behaviour and be a positive force within our school.
How Redlands promotes British Values
• The government set out its definition of British values in the 2015 Prevent Strategy. These values are: democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs.
• At Redlands Primary School, we actively promote equality, diversity and British values through our own school values, curriculum and enrichment activities. We also have the responsibility to challenge opinions or behaviours in our school that are contrary to what our community values.
